Description
Melopmene - goddess of tragedy
From [link]
MELPOMENE was one of the nine Mousai, the goddesses of music, song and dance. In Classical times, when the Mousai were assigned specific artistic and literary spheres, Melpomene was named Muse of tragedy. In this guise she was portrayed holding a tragic mask or sword, and sometimes wearing a wreath of ivy and cothurnus boots. Her name was derived from the Greek verb melpô or melpomai meaning "to celebrate with dance and song."
She was a daughter of Zeus & Mnemosyne.

I didn't find any of Melopmenes attributes available in a preffered form for this interpretation. She does not look like a sword lady to me for instance. So I settled for a "blue" kind of feeling, time for solemn contemplation of life's great moves and turnes. Just like the classic tragic drama can appear. But with a little bit of a gothic angle as well.

Great lighting for her. Enhances her personality. I love her deep belly button in this pic. Sensual.
