Pulling that sword - Excalibur - out of the stone it was stuck into - well that was really a piece of cake! It was the other things that came with it which were hard. Becoming a king, sounds like a great deal at first thought. But then - the responsibility, the hard work, the dangers, the risks? What did he know about king's business really? He was a warrior. That was all he ever knew, could he handle the rest? And what would become of him if he pulled out that sword? How would it change him? And would he like what he became?

I have had these ideas of Arthur from time to tome - him as well as other rulers to be. Was it really that easy to consider running for office. I don't think so. I can really imagine that Arthur did have his doubts before he went ahead and pulled out that sword from it's stone and decided upon carrying the responsibility of a royal office.

Snyggt! Jag gillar hans kroppspråk - den där tveksamma rörelsen mot svärdet. Och uttrycket, lite nonchalant som om han inte vill åssas om den där osäkerheten!
