Me and Mother Earth
It's the thing with the environment again, you have probably heard it 'till your ears fall off about how we are killing our planet and how much more we really ought to do to save her. And I agree, it's hard, but we got to start with ourselves at least to get somewhere.

Thus I took a test in a magazine (I'm not going to publish it here though, like my "adult" test the other week, it's too much focused on Swedish things) and I was almost in tears when I realized what kind of bad girl I was. I ate too much imported and pre-processed food and too much meat and fish, I've been flying way too much and I didn't recycle as much as I ought to (although it has gotten way better since we got recycle bins for glass and plastics next to our regular bins where I live). But then it came to cars and day to day commuting, and since I use my feet to get to work I got a huge chunk of more points. So in the end I could move my peg to just slightly over average.

Then I could relax a bit and sort of enjoy the tips I could use to get better. Like buying less exotic fruit (not gonna do that, I love my fruit) and other imported food. Recycle batteries! (well I do do that – when I get around, meanwhile they are all collected in a cardboard box in the kitchen, so I don't throw them away at least) And I could take shorter showers and put on a sweater instead of heating up my flat as much. (Honestly I do both, since I'm the frozen kind).

And it annoys me when the magazines I subscribe to comes in plastic envelopes and my :brainless: neighbours put their old newspapers in plastic bags and then put it all in the recycling bin. Or that you still – in 2007 – can't take your bike with you on the subway or the commuting trains in Stockholm. Just to mention a few things.

Screams are public domain
Recently the inheritors of Edgar Rice Burroughs, author of Tarzan, tried to put a copyright stamp on Tarzan's famous yelling. But the European Union's Trademark organisation OHIM hasdecided that the scream does not qualify. So ladies and gents, screaming is still public domain. AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEHHHHHH! :w00t:

Wanna give an unique gift to someone you love – like Gonorrhea?
Before you yell F**ing not, is Hera nuts??? I'll say: make that a fluffy cuddletoy!

The Chicaco company Giant Microbes have specialized in making stuffed animals that look like tiny microbes. But being a million times actual size. Here you'll find every kind of virus and bug you might catch out there – save for the computer viruses for time being :D

Perhaps something for those looking for an odd Christmas Present or mascot. I know at least a dousen people I'd love to give brain cells [link]

You are The Empress
Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

Come to think that even cherries are exotic fruit in Sweden I can understand you in that matter ;]
Aside from the fact that just living in an industrialized country means you're using too much resources from Earth, I think that I'm living fairly environmentally friendly: I like my flat pretty cold, don't own a car, and use trains to get to places as far away as Helsinki or Bucharest. Then I use Germany's advanced recycling system: Paper, plastic/wrappings, bio-degradable, batteries... OK, the latter only sit in a cardboard box, too ;] I probably lose out on the food department, though, the only thing I pay attention to why buying groceries is making sure that my eggs come from free-roaming chicken.
I'm gonna check our your recommendations. I'm still very choosy about my Electronica, but who knows, maybe I'm gonna get lucky :]

Oh my god, they tried to copyright Tarzan's scream??!! That's so funny!! If they got it their way then it would be actually illegal to do that scream!!

 indeed, but sometimes it's so hard. I mean recycling and don't wasting fuel, that's the easy stuff, but when it comes to what to eat and such things it gets complicated immediately. Not to mention when they start to talk about clothes. I reasently red that it's more environmentally hazardous to use fleeze sweaters than keeping your flat reasonably warm, because the process of making fleeze is hazardous + that they need washing so much more often. OK I rather go for wool but it nevertheless shows that you alsmot need to be a rocket scientist to be farely environmentally friendly :ohmygod: :omfg:

True, true! I try to take the train when the destination is within reasonable limit and there are good scedules for the train. I mean these days flying is so complicated with all the security hooplah. On the other hand sometimes I just have to go to places like London and NY and then there's plane or forget it. (OK you can take the train to London and go that tunnel - and I'm sure gonna do it one day just to still my curiosity. ) Adn then there's holidays in the sun which you really need especially after this year's miserable summer. But I try to do my best. And I'm fairly satisfied with not having to use cars for transportation that much. And almost never alone.

Yeah, I love to have seen a court case on that scream. I mean how are they gonna prove that copyright were broken? By analyzing the sound waves :ohmygod:

:iconchrysromeo:
yeah
the main thing is about the pollution
they should make cars with fuel that doesn't produce toxic substances, and other things too
but I rather think the damage can't be repaired now, cause nobody's trying enough, and we're going down in a few decades or so

:iconchrissiecool:
thanks ever so much for the double feature its really appreciated  ....as for that famous Tarzan yell that was actually created by Johnny Weissmuller and at his request, a recording of it was played as his coffin was lowered into the ground. :O So if anyone has the right to claim copyright on a scream (which would be just plain silly) it would be the descendants or Mr Weissmuller :P
