Summer in February?Well, it almost felt like it this morning, when I was out running down the gravelled paths of Djurgården. The sun was beaming down from an almost cloudless sky and when I had done half my round I was soaked with sweat and had to remove my sweater and run in just a tee-skirt. Has never happened this time of year and in this town. And crossing the bridge down into town I met equally surprised walkers having stripped off their outdoor cloaks and were looking in surprise at the sun. Must have been 12 or 14 degrees or something, and not a wind. Late spring bordering on early summer!

But when I got home my neighbour was talking about global warming. Sigh, why do some people always have to spoil the fun

Djurgården by the way is an island in Central Stockholm consisting mostly of a large park, a kind of Central Park (NY) or Hyde Park (London) if you like, with a zoo, an amusement park, a botanical garden and a lot of cafés and restaurants in. And it was heavily populated this mock-summer day in February!
I'm to become an auntieMy sister is having a baby, a little girl apparently. They have no name for her at the moment, but they sent a copy of the ultrasound pic. And one can almost see the eyes and the little nose
Who shrunk my artwork?Recently I have been wondering why some of my full views have been sosmall when scrollin the gallery. Then I found that some pictures including my self portrait
Yours Tuly: Hera [link] had been deprived on some of it's size, meaning that a lot of details were lost. The same faith had happened to
Tell your Password [link] and a few others. That was really annoying because it made a lot of details dissapearing.
Well I had to go into "submit" mode and change the size which for some reason had been reset to a with of 600 indiscriminating of it's real size.

That's even more annoying than when some knows-it-all admin decide to relocate one of my pictures without even bothering with an explanation.

No life on Mars? There might not have been life on Mars after all, not even some itty bitty insignificant bacteria. (And definitely no green men building canals and ray gun-gothic structures) Humans have been researching Mars now for years and years, with the help of little hardworking robots like
Spirit and
Opportunity. Those valiant machines have been working 16 times longer than originally planned and they still show no sign of wanting to retire.
For instance
Spirit made a 21 month long trip across the surface of Mars and did a lot of geological (or perhaps it should be martiological

) discoveries and now it's considered proved that there
has been water on Mars, and might still be, even if we have yet to find it. On the other hand that water might have been too sour and too salty for life as we know it would have been created.
On the other hand this planet is littered with life, species surviving under the strangest conditions, so why not Mars?
At least our culture is littered with aliens of all kinds from evil carnivores to charming ET:s. More here:
