Sleek me nice!Been playing around a bit with the new look'n'feel of the message and watch centre. And I must say that generally I like it. Having it all neatly boxed in in one place appeals to me. Makes it easier to navigate.
And perhaps it makes me pay attention a bit more to the DD:s having them on the bottom of it all.I just wish I could figure out how to sort the watch pictures by deviant again. Because now when they are all jumbled together in a mess I'm sure I'm gonna end up faving club picture simply by not knowing where I am...
On the negative side is a rather 2002 y look - reminds me of those Yahoo foras save for being gray instead of primary coloured and a feel that it's a bit messy. The frames around the watch thumbs feel a bit clumsy for instance. And it keeps crashing my browser all the time. Very annoying!
I hope it's not too buggy either, because I had a feeling that they had finally smacked the old bugs, including the double post one.
City of waterlillies If the polar ices start to melt caused by the global warming your and mine home might be under threat. At least my city is in danger. I might live on a hill, but if the water level goes up with more than 3 metres Stockholm is looking at a BIG problem.
So what do we do? OK we can all start to use less fossil fuel. And we can find different solutions for our housings as well. Why not floating, artificial islands like the City of Waterlilies, created by Belgian Vincent Callebaut.
50 000 people can live on one "Waterlillie", designed in a way that makes it self sustained when it comes to water supply, even if food and other neccecities have to be shipped in. And the construction is supposed be done in a way that makes nothing "too far" so you can manage without cars. (perhaps some trollies and the likes would be needed though)
Those towns are as well supposed to be run by solar heating, water- and windpower. No coal or oil plant in sight thus! And the towns could be anchored up outside the coastlines of the continents.
And last but not least they look beautiful. I wouldn't mind live in one. Take a look here:
[link]Mamma Mia! - It's a movieOn Friday I was lucky to attend the Swedish premiere of the movie version of the musical Mamma Mia. And it was the celeb premiere complete with a red carpet and a lot of celebrities on the whole scale walking down it. From a miscellany of Swedish actors, athletes and singers to the major stars of the movie: Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Dominic Cooper and Amanda Seyfried. And on top of that the whole Parnassos connected to ABBA including the fab four themselves: Agnetha, Frida, Björn and Benny.
They all attended in flesh, even if just Björn and Benny took the stage together with the stars before the actual film started. After all it's been Björn and Benny who have been working with the musical and later the movie while the ladies have been doing other things.
And the movie was a two hours feel good saga about the classic love, and marriage problems, about the real thing when it comes to friendship and with more action brought in than you'll expect from a musical based movie. For those familiar with the musical there were some changes in the plot that in my opinion made it work better. And for those who have never seen it before - like those two James Bond fans I met who were there for the chance to see Pierce Brosnan - it was simply a fun experience.
A big

to my pal Helga who managed to get me a free ticked with the fan group at the balcony. I think it's actually a smart marketing plot to hand out free tickets to fan clubs and the likes. It was us who provided with the most clapping, cheering and sing-along and it's we who are going to be walking trailers for that movie, telling everybody else how fun it was.
So if you're down and moody one day and need something to pick you up - go see the Mamma Mia movie. It carries no deep message, it's simply a large and pure dose of happines.

What I like best is seeing Front page msgs in the msg center, and being able to page through old messages (I hoard them).
