Clash of the Elementars

They were silent, lethal and plenty. Nobody knew where they had come from and why, one day they had just been there.

The first year, more than 90 percent of humanity was annihilated. Those surviving learned to fight back, to protect themselves and each other - and to never stop looking over their shoulders or to sleep alone.

Back in the old days Luca Aegir had used to be a gladriatrix, but was now part of the CIDeB - the Combined Interior Defense Battalion - of the protectorate of Xosandra, and she had fought Elementars almost since the beginning. Thus considered a pro, she was one of the few who patrolled alone. Something which fit her perfectly, since she really was a loner and a borderline sociopath.

Some people claimed that there were people like Luca who had created the Elementars, to get a chance to endless fights in real world and without risking repercussions. Something Luca considered a laugh, still she loved to be able to fight, fight, fight and not have to think. As long as they were gray and faceless they were part of the open season, since it was either them or you.
