My Lates Work :frustrated:

For some reason my latest work - Losing Eurydice - refuses to show up at my front page. Dont know if there's another clever DA feature meaning that you must toggle somewhere to have them to show - at least I can't find any, and I've been looking all over :frustrated:

So I'll post it here Losing Eurydice by Hera-of-Stockholm and go have a chat with the Helpdesk :katana:

Because even if I do appreciate better ways to customize my main page, I want to be able to find out about them and use them too. A bg colour setting for instance would be just great...

And on top of that my Valentine poll from yesterday is completely gone, and now I have no idea of the outcome and how many replies it got or what people wrote. It has been replaced with my old one :cries: What is this, a conspiracy against this poor girl???

Tagged about my art

:icondancingelf: tagged me to tell 8 quirky, interesting or useful facts about my art, s here I go

Rules:
1. Post these rules.
2. Each tagged person should post 8 quirky, interesting or useful facts about their art.
3. At the end of your 8 facts tag and name 8 people.
- I'm gonna be a bad girl and break that rule - because I don't feel like force people into doing things they don't want. Instead I tag all who finds this cool to do and/or  have time to kill.
+ - of course - rules are meant to be broken after all :evillaugh:
4. Go to their dA pages and let them know they are tagged. Since you tag yourself I'm skipping that part

  • I was making art before I walked - well almost :) My father still has a painting saved which dating tells that I was not even two when making it. It's a human being with big eyes and feet. Looks almost like E.T. to be true :D
    • I've tried everything from pottery to poetry, but settled down for various shapes of digital art and prose. Although all my prose so far has been in Swedish, so I don't go for publishing it here. But that's so great with pictures, you don't really need a language. A cracked heart is understood across almost all boundaries.
      • My first photo manip was a satire of Bill Clinton and his contender for the presidency in '96 - Bob Dole. And the latter was coming out of a banana peel, scaring the crap out of the former
        • I love to tell things with my art. I don't just do someting beautiful because it's beautiful, because no matter how I try not to, the works always start telling little stories and then I feel I must include the stories in the work
          • I have a loooong list of artworks I want to do and an annoying little muse tapping me on the shoulders, going "come on now, stop surfing for free music and do this latest thing I want you to do". OK my muse is on speed but then what do you do, she picked me, not the other way around
            • I love colours, but I guess that's nothing new for those who have been aboard for a while
              • I try to stay away from clichés. But sometimes I can't help myself from doing angels, planets and sunsets. On the other hand I always try to add something to these to break the boundaries. Because I hate to submit to conformia, and that goes for my art too.
                • Starting last year I have slowly started to "digitalize" a lot of traditional work - mostly pencil paintings - by adding colours, filters and backgrounds using Photoshop. That is so fun, and the best of these works have found themselves to this gallery

And apparently Andy Warhol was not the one who said In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes. And my universe of belief is in chaos after learning this :cries: :fear:

Don't die with silicon in your boobs

That was a warning I got from my colleague today, at least if you plan to get cremated. Apparently this colleague had had an acquaintance who died and then her body was sent into the oven to be turned into aches. But halfway through the process the silicon protesises exploded, smearing the cremation oven with jelly goo. And it took days to clean it up again! And some huge penalty fees to be paid by the ones left behind. Fees these people refused to pay and the case is going to court any day now.

At least I have nothing like that in mine, I was lucky to be given the real thing by mother nature :D
