The Princess got her prince

Yesterday Crown Princess Victoria said YES to her Daniel Westling, and today he has become Prince Daniel of Sweden since the fairy was there with her magic wand.

Well this wedding sure was a wonderful one, the first Royal Wedding in Sweden since 1976. And performed with so much elegance and class that it was even better than the best directed movie. Everything was tasteful, everything was perfect down to the flower arrangements by the street where the parade passed by. It was a fairytale coming true that was for certain. It started with a ceremony in Storkyrkan, the dome of Stockholm (Great Church – which is ancient and not really big to be true, but very very beautiful). Four priests married Victoria and Daniel, born Westling, who was just a 'regular guy'. An entrepreneur and gym owner who started out as a personal trainer (and it was in that way he met Victoria.)

And when they said Yes to each other I was weeping like a baby because it was so touching and beautiful. Daniel was Cute and Victoria was absolutely radiant. She was shining, beaming like an angel of love! In one of the most beautiful and elegant bridal dresses I've seen.

Then they rode an open four horse carriage trough Stockholm and half a million cheering people were out and waved their flags and cheered. And waved their cameras even more to be true! I sure was not the only one out there snapping pictures; there were everything from the most professional stuff with lenses the size of cannon pipes to tiny cell phone cameras.

And I abandoned the television for half an hour and walked the two blocks down to Strandvägen, one of the esplanades where the parade passed by. And the street side sure was crowded and there were so many people everywhere! And we didn't have to wait long, soon they passed us – a bit hasty I had to admit, but then those horses are raised to be trotting and they had a tight scheme to run. After the parade they boarded Wasaorden, which is a parade boat row by navy men (and a few women as well ). And there were navy boats all over saluting and fighter plans flying in formation of clover blades – everything very well planned.

The boat ride took them over Strömmen, a part of the great lake of Mälaren which splits Stockholm in two, and up to the Royal Palace where a magnificent entrance gate was built. Then there was a short break for the loving two before they showed up on the great balcony of the castle and met the cheering of the people. And then first the king Carl Gustaf and then Princess Victoria held her speech, which was wonderful!

Then there was a dinner that beat even the Nobel Price Celebrations (Which otherwise is THE event in Sweden) and then they danced all night – or something.
